The Writers Read Series is comprised of student-focused events and brings authors to campus for readings and discussions. Writers Read events are free and open to the public. Classes are welcome.
Playwriting Contest
As part of Writers Read, students and directors from the COD Theater Program brought the winning plays of the 2025 Playwriting Contest to life on stage. The featured works explored powerful themes, including racism and segregation, body positivity and self-acceptance, the unifying force of dance and music, rebellion against conformity, empowerment, and activism.
