The Veterans Services Office at College of DuPage is committed to supporting veterans, military personnel, and their families throughout their academic journey. We provide a welcoming environment and assistance to help you succeed both in and out of the classroom. Start your education at COD with military benefits available to veterans and service members.

Your Home Base on Campus
Veterans Services offers a range of support to help you succeed. Our services include assistance with processing education benefits and providing information on veteran-specific scholarships, internships, and employment opportunities. We also offer the VA Work-Study Program and on-campus employment opportunities for students using VA education benefits.
Your military transcript can help you receive academic credit for training completed while in the service.
As of March 1, 2013, AARTS (Army transcript), SMART (Navy transcript) and Coast Guard Institute Transcript have transitioned to the Joint Services Transcript (JST). The JST is a uniform transcript of all military training and experience for service members of all branches, except the Air Force, which has its own, regionally accredited transcript.

Veterans Services Events On Campus
Students utilizing military education benefits are held to the same academic standards as all College of DuPage students. All students are monitored for satisfactory academic progress regardless of their eligibility or intent to receive military education benefits. The official academic record is reviewed each semester to determine compliance with the established Standards of Academic Progress.
To maintain satisfactory academic status, students must maintain a cumulative College of DuPage grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above to avoid being placed on academic probation. Failure to do so will result in consequences to academic status, enrollment eligibility and eligibility to receive military education benefits. Depending on the academic status, military education benefits cannot be certified until a permit to enroll is approved, appeal is approved, the appealed term GPA reaches 2.0 or the cumulative GPA reaches 2.0.
