Continuing Education is hiring for Summer 2026 Youth Programs at the main campus in Glen Ellyn, as well as the Naperville and Westmont Center. All positions are hourly and part-time unless otherwise stated. Open positions will be posted starting in February 2026.
The Youth Academy offers summer camps and academic classes for grades K-12 from June through August. The summer schedule is flexible, offering programs Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The College is closed for the federal holidays of Juneteenth (Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19) and the Fourth of July (Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4).

Youth Aide
Great for those that love working with children and enjoy a flexible schedule.
- Must be age 18 or older
- Part-time, flexible schedule
- Pay: $15.50 per hour
Site Supervisor
Great for school employees, paraprofessionals, education majors, or those currently with 1-2 years of experience working with children in a leadership role.
- Pay: $25.75 per hour
Adjunct Faculty, K-8 Courses
Instructors needed to teach various classes such as writing, art, problem solving, public speaking, and some STEAM topics.
- Minimum two years’ teaching experience with a current Illinois Professional Educator License and K-8 endorsement is preferred. Under special circumstances, we will consider elementary education majors with at least one semester of student teaching experience.
- Pay: $33.99 per hour
Adjunct Faculty - Junior High Achiever Courses (grades 6th, 7th and 8th)
Faculty needed to teach courses mirroring the high school curriculum in Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Environmental Science, English Literature, Speech and Debate, Essay Writing, and Global Economics. No credit is awarded for these courses. A total of 40-42.5 contact hours per course session, offered either morning or afternoons Monday through Friday. - Schedule: Morning 8:30-11:20 a.m.; Afternoon 12:30-3:20 p.m.
- Minimum two years’ experience teaching high school or Junior High students with a current Illinois Professional Educator License is preferred.
- Pay: $33.99 to $45 per hour
Adjunct Faculty - High School Credit Courses
Faculty are needed to teach high school credit courses for Spanish, French, Consumer Economics, American Government, US History, Algebra, Algebra II, Precalculus, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry Courses are offered for credit recovery, advancement or enrichment (non-credit). Courses are 60 contact hours per semester, Monday through Friday, either morning or afternoon session. Math courses are taught in-person, Science are taught hybrid and all others are taught asynchronously online. COD uses the Blackboard LMS and can provide training for instructors. Courses have a minimum enrollment need of at least 5 students or are subject to cancellation.
- Adjunct Faculty are responsible for curriculum development and assessments.
- Minimum two years’ experience teaching high school students with a current Illinois Professional Educator License is required.
- Pay: $45 per hour
