Take flight with COD's Aviation Management program—designed for those ready to pursue a career in aviation. Whether you're aspiring to manage aviation operations or work in the business side of aviation, COD's program provides knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to soar.
The Associate in Applied Science degree in Aviation Management offers students two tracks to follow: a flight track to obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certifications to prepare students for a career flying airplanes, and an aviation management track that introduces students to a variety of ground-based jobs in aviation.
Aviation courses teach students aircraft operations, flight instruction, federal aviation regulations, aviation safety principles, aviation meteorology and more.
In addition to classroom instruction, students receive hands-on training inside a Redbird Flight Simulator. The Redbird simulator is a fully enclosed, wrap around visual system that allows students to train in a realistic cockpit during instrument instruction.
