Food Network Star Jeff Mauro Brings Chicago Flavor to ‘COD Presents’ Oct. 9

Celebrity chef and Food Network star Jeff Mauro will share his culinary journey and entrepreneurial insights as part of the “COD Presents” speaker series at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in Belushi Performance Hall at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn. 

Following his presentation, Mauro will take audience questions and participate in a photo opportunity. Attendees also will receive a food product from Mauro Provisions, his premium food brand, while supplies last. 

An Emmy-nominated chef and proud Chicagoan, Mauro combines his love of cooking with his natural comedic talent. He rose to fame after winning Season 7 of “Food Network Star,” which led to his Emmy-nominated series “Sandwich King.” He is currently a co-host of “The Kitchen,” now in its 38th season, and a regular on primetime shows including “Worst Cooks in America “and “Holiday Wars.” 

Beyond television, Mauro is founder and CEO of Mauro Provisions, specializing in craft giardiniera, seasonings and sandwich kits. He is also the best-selling author of “Come n Over” and co-host of the long running “Come n Over “podcast. 

Tickets are $10 and free for COD students with a student ID. 

COD Presents features keynote presentations and conversations with prominent figures who are using their influence, creativity and passion to make a positive impact. These candid dialogues provide COD students, faculty, staff and community members the opportunity to exchange ideas and gain new inspiration.
