Continuing Education courses for Licensed Massage Therapists are available at College
of DuPage year round. The COD Massage Therapy program is approved by the National Certification Board for
Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) to provide continuing education for licensed
massage therapists. Classes are held on the main campus in Glen Ellyn in the Student
Resource Center (SRC), Room 1131 and 1125.

Understanding Functional Anatomy: The Shoulder
"The shoulder never causes problems," said no one ever. There are many ways a shoulder can go wrong, but this complicated joint deserves to be happy. In this two-day workshop, Allison Denney of Rebel Massage dives into what makes the shoulder move, unpacks common dysfunctions and demonstrates approaches to shoulder health that work.
Please bring a massage table and wear comfortable clothing that provides access to the shoulder region. 16 CE hours. This course will be livestreamed for the Rebel Massage YouTube channel.

Reflexology: Easy Feet
Spend a day on your feet! Learn the history and techniques of reflexology applied to the hand and foot with light pressure points. Explore this ancient massage modality that continues to gain popularity. The focus is on techniques that can be performed on a massage table, making it easy to integrate into your practice without dedicated mat space or extra equipment. Introduction to Cupping
Gain an introduction to cupping techniques, both traditional Asian and modern Western styles, with time for trying two of the most popular types. Learn about the variety of methods and equipment used for these therapies, so you can make an informed choice for future practice. Students will learn safety precautions, hygiene, contraindications and indications for cupping therapy. In the hands-on portion, students will learn the basics of applying therapeutic cupping using both vacuum cups for stationary work and silicone cups for gliding techniques. Please bring a set of sheets. Tables will be provided. (6 CE hours) Instructor: Phil Hinton

Reiki Level I
Discover the healer within. Learn about energy healing in a variety of ways, focusing on the importance of energetic self-care and how it impacts the way we serve others. Explore the traditional and Western aspects of Reiki, including hands-on Reiki self-treatment, aura cleansing, shielding, protection, Reiki meditation, basics of the chakra system, the five guided principles of Reiki, and simple steps to living in harmony with grace and ease. All are welcome to take this class for personal or professional interest.
You will receive an illustrated manual covering the techniques we practice in class, along with your Reiki lineage. After completing this training, you will receive your Reiki I certification. (6.5 CE hours) Instructor: Shannon Chada
