Society of Women Engineers

As part of its affiliation with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), College of DuPage has a college interest group to encourage a gender-inclusive environment in engineering disciplines to enable women to reach their full potential.

The group is also affiliated with the Chicago Regional SWE Section. Membership is open to both women and men, but SWE scholarships are only available to women.

Along with being advocates for women studying engineering and other STEM fields, SWE is involved with many projects including building robots for STEMCON, hosting a Women in Stem Networking Dinner and volunteering for STEM-related events.

SWE

The College’s SWE chapter also organizes tours to different local companies and research labs, hosts speakers from various engineering fields and travels to the Regional SWE Conference.
